Daniel Purdy, DMD

Dr. Daniel Purdy is a board eligible pediatric dentist. He graduated from University of New Hampshire with a B.A. in history. He then continued with his education at the University Of Louisville School Of Dentistry in Kentucky and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine. In addition, Dr. Daniel Purdy completed two years of post-doctorate training at U.C.L.A. where he received his certificate as a Pediatric Dental Specialist.

Prior to joining his father in their Bakersfield dental practice, Dr. Daniel Purdy spent one year as an associate in a large pediatric practice in Redding, California. He and his wife enjoy watching their two daughters excel in soccer and gymnastics. Dr. Daniel Purdy is committed to promoting a positive dental experience for all children.

Dr. Daniel Purdy is a member of the following professional societies: American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Kern County Dental Society, American Dental Society and California Dental Society.

Joseph Curtin, DDS

Dr. Joseph Curtin is a board-certified pediatric dentist (a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry). He was born in Indiana, moved to upstate New York soon after, then during middle school he moved to Akron, Ohio and went to Miami University for his undergraduate studies where he majored in Chemistry. Upon completion of that, he went to Ohio State for dental school and then did a 1 year General Practice Residency where he focused in treating medically immunocompromised, special needs, and developmentally delayed patients. He then was accepted to a 2 year Pediatric Dental Residency in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After graduating 2005, he packed everything up and made the trip to southern California, where he resides with his wife and two boys. He enjoys running the trails in his spare time and since he grew up on the border of Canada, he hopes to get back into playing hockey sometime soon.

David Martinez, DDS

Dr. Martinez is a graduate of University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry, which, as you know, is one of the top Dental Schools in the country were Dr. Martinez earned Honors in patient centered care, graduating near the top of his class clinical work. He completed his externship at Oakland Children Hospital in conjunction with Eastmont Wellness center. Dr. Martinez has taken advanced courses in Orthodontics, Sports dentistry, Implant dentistry and Hospital dentistry. Dr. Martinez has also received advanced training in Pediatric Oral Conscious Sedation from University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry. Dr. Martinez is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and San Francisco Dental Society. Dr. Martinez is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). Dr. Martinez was hand selected to join our practice because of his exceptional clinical abilities and shared values in patient care. Dr. Martinez is also very familiar with Purdy Pediatric office, having worked at our previous office in Santa Barbara.
